Joseph Gonzalez
Joseph Gonzalez’s work spans GraphLab and PowerGraph during 2008–2014, then model serving and tuning during 2015–2021. Students and collaborators led the group’s systems work. Gonzalez coauthored Autonomously Untangling Long Cables. The team developed motion primitives, specialized grippers and the SGTM algorithm for a two-arm robot, testing cables up to 2.7 meters long with knots and crossings. Gonzalez coauthored the paper that received RSS’s Best Systems Paper Award.
