João Gama
Also known as Joao Gama
João Gama is a researcher in machine learning whose work centers on knowledge extraction from continuous data flows. He completed a PhD in computer science at the University of Porto in 2000. He published Knowledge Discovery from Data Streams in 2010, and in 2014 he co-wrote a survey on concept drift adaptation for ACM Computing Surveys. EurAI named him a Fellow in 2020, and IEEE named him a Fellow in 2021. As of October 2026, he is an emeritus professor at the University of Porto.
