Henry de Zoete

Henry de Zoete is the director of the UK's AI Security Institute, a research organisation within the UK government. He worked as a special adviser in the Department for Education from 2010 to 2013. He co-founded Look After My Bills in 2018, and GoCo Group acquired the company in 2019. From 2023 to 2024 he advised the Prime Minister on AI, where he led the UK's approach to AI, including the Bletchley Park summit. In March 2026 he took a part-time post as Investment and AI Adviser in the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology.

    He co-founds Look After My Bills in 2018, an auto-switching service for energy bills.

    GoCo Group acquires Look After My Bills, the company he co-founded, in 2019.

    A Cabinet Office board seat

    He sits on the Cabinet Office board as a non-executive member from 2020 to 2024.

  5. 2023–2024

    The Prime Minister's AI adviser

    He serves as the Prime Minister's adviser on AI in 10 Downing Street from 2023 to 2024, where he leads the UK's approach to AI, including the Bletchley Park summit.

  6. 2024

    Co-lead negotiator at the Seoul summit

    In 2024 he acts as the UK's co-lead negotiator for the AI Seoul Summit.

  7. March 2026–August 2026

    Investment and AI adviser at DSIT

    He takes up a part-time post as Investment and AI Adviser in the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology in March 2026.

  8. As of October 2026

    Director of the AI Security Institute

    He becomes director of the AI Security Institute, a research organisation within the UK government, in August 2026.
