H. Vincent Poor
Also known as Harold Vincent Poor, Vince Poor
H. Vincent Poor is the Michael Henry Strater University Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Princeton University. His research on signal processing and wireless networks now reaches machine learning, from a 2022 ICML Outstanding Paper on learning mixtures of linear dynamical systems to a 2026 paper on learning over wireless networks. He earned a Princeton PhD in 1977, was on the Illinois faculty until 1990, and then joined the Princeton faculty. From 2006 to 2016 he served as dean of Princeton's engineering school, and the IEEE Alexander Graham Bell Medal honored him in 2017.
