Researcher

Eli VanderBilt

Eli VanderBilt contributes to Allen Institute for AI (AI2) projects on simulated worlds, 3D object data, and open multimodal and robot models. He co-authored RoboTHOR, a simulation-to-real embodied AI platform, in a CVPR 2020 paper. ProcTHOR, a framework for procedural generation of embodied AI environments that he co-authored, won a NeurIPS 2022 Outstanding Paper Award. Later work includes Objaverse, presented at CVPR 2023; Objaverse-XL, a dataset of over 10 million 3D objects, listed for NeurIPS 2023; and Molmo and PixMo, open-weights vision-language models presented as a CVPR 2025 oral. As of October 2026, he is credited with paper writing and figures for MolmoAct2, an action reasoning model from AI2.
