Dwarkesh Patel hosts a podcast of deeply researched interviews. His conversations connect AI research with computing, economics, history and institutions. In 2023, interviews with Ilya Sutskever and Dario Amodei examined neural networks, scaling, alignment and the effects of more capable systems. Stripe Press published the digital edition of The Scaling Era in March 2025, with Gavin Leech as editor. The book turns conversations into an oral history of AI from 2019 to 2025. Patel has also published explanations of his reading, guest selection and podcast strategy. His public work gives listeners detailed accounts from people building AI and people studying its wider effects.
