Dimosthenis Karatzas
Karatzas earned a Liverpool PhD in 2003. His research interests include computer vision, machine learning, document analysis and human-document interaction. He launched his Robust Reading Competition series in 2011. The series contributes to evaluation of reading systems and scene-text understanding. His VLR group works on reading text in natural images, visual question answering, cross-modal retrieval and end-to-end document understanding.
