Clément Delangue
Also known as Clement Delangue
Clément Delangue co-founded Hugging Face with Julien Chaumond and Thomas Wolf. The company connects a public model and dataset platform with shared research software. Delangue coauthored TransferTransfo, Transformers, and Datasets with their teams, linking early dialogue research to tools other developers can reuse. Hugging Face also supported BigScience’s BLOOM release, a collaboration across researchers and institutions. Its scope later expanded into robotics: LeRobot began in 2024 under Rémi Cadene, and Pollen Robotics joined through an acquisition announced in April 2025. Delangue was CEO at the time. He continues public robot-related work in October 2026. These projects depend on employees, maintainers, outside researchers, and community contributions, with licenses and practical limits attached to each release.
