Daniel A. Keim
Also known as Daniel Keim
Keim is a computer scientist at the University of Konstanz whose visual analytics work includes human-AI teaming and explainable AI. His doctorate from LMU Munich came in 1994, and he became a professor at Konstanz in 2000, after posts at Halle-Wittenberg and AT&T Shannon Research Labs. From 2010, he coordinated the FP7 VisMaster project, and in 2011 the IEEE VGTC gave him its Visualization Technical Achievement Award. In 2024, IEEE VIS gave a test-of-time award to a visual analytics paper that he co-wrote. At Konstanz, he is a professor of data analysis and visualization who leads the DBVIS group.
