Camillo De Lellis
Camillo De Lellis is a mathematician known for work on partial differential equations, and he is one of nine founding members of a group that advises AI companies on mathematical research. He studied at the University of Pisa and the Scuola Normale Superiore, then held postdoctoral posts in Leipzig and Zurich. After a professorship at the University of Zurich that began in 2004, he joined the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton in July 2018. He received the Bôcher Memorial Prize in 2020 and the Shaw Prize in Mathematical Sciences in 2026. As of October 2026, he holds the IBM von Neumann professorship at the Institute for Advanced Study and is also a professor at the Gran Sasso Science Institute.
