Barbara Plank
Plank earned a doctorate in computational linguistics at Groningen in 2011 on domain adaptation for parsing. This research concerns using language-analysis methods across different data settings. She became an associate professor at the IT University of Copenhagen in 2018, a full professor in 2021 and chair of AI and computational linguistics at LMU in April 2022. Plank’s research covers domain adaptation, limited-data learning and annotation bias. Her work also includes the DIALECT project on natural-language understanding for non-standard languages and dialects.
