  4. 2019

A system built around a wafer

Cerebras launched its CS-1 as a complete data-center system for AI workflows, with the Wafer Scale Engine as its processor. Feldman said the team had spoken with more than 100 customers while designing the system and software.

  5. March 2024

    A third generation

Cerebras introduced WSE-3 and built the CS-3 platform around the third-generation wafer-scale processor. Feldman described the performance advance as a Moore’s Law step.
