Ali Kaveh

Ali Kaveh is a distinguished professor of structural engineering at Iran University of Science and Technology. His Springer book Applications of Meta-heuristic Optimization Algorithms in Civil Engineering appeared in 2017. In 2010 he co-authored a novel heuristic method, charged system search, and in 2014 he co-published computer codes for colliding bodies optimization. He completed a PhD at Imperial College London in 1974 and a DTech at TU Wien in 1993. The European Academy of Sciences and Arts elected him an active member in November 2014, and the Academy of Sciences and Press Media named him Memorable Scientist of Iran in 2001.
